I’m Enrico, an Italian Furniture Craftsman. 

I moved here in U.S. in 2018  from Italy with my wife through her job.

We completely changed our life and decided to start a new life and adventure here.

I love my job, spending time designing, making handmade furniture, doing woodworking.

I also like to repair, painting and try to give new life to old items simply changing / adding some details. 

BACKGROUND:

I worked for 23 years for a furniture company near Milan in Italy.

I had the possibility to collaborate and work with the best Italian style furniture brands (i.e. Poliform, Cassina, Calligaris, etc…) developing products and components for them.

Working for the same company for so long gave me the possibility to grow and develop my design and planning skills.

1995 – 2000

Everything started when, immediately after graduated in Art & Design, I was hired as a technical draftsman.  From that moment it began a long path of growth that saw me in the first years engaged in the technical development of all the components for furnishing sector.

The company focused on the development and construction of furniture for the night sector, especially in beds and bed frame structures.

2007 – 2018

A new challenge begins; I started to be a furniture designer and by the end of the following year there were 6 different bed structures ready for production.

I was given a new responsibility and in addition to maintaining the role of designer, I also had the role of production manager.

The following 10 years were a period of great satisfaction and success. I focused myself on continuous improvement both in design and organization.

The company became one of the most important brand in his sector, participating every year at one of the most important fairs in the world, “Salone Del Mobile di Milano” and having an excellent response from the public every year.

2019

I started my new business Mzr-Design  Handmade Furniture
